The Self Promoting Musician like Nadel Paris
What a time we live in today. There is great reason to be insanely excited about being a self promoting artist today like Nadel Paris. Think about it, you can write a song, record it, mix it down, master it, and produce the finished product then promote it on a shoestring budget to millions of people overnight all in the privacy of your bedroom. If that doesn't excite you as an artist and musician, nothing will.
Think for just a minute about what this means for today's artists and musicians. Historically artists and musicians have been introverted deep thinking types that are not big on face to face meetings and selling situations. Generally artists would prefer to sit in their comfy place, and hope that a team of big extroverted sales oriented big money promoters will notice them and promote them to the masses, and bring them millions of dollars, and tons of fame. With todays technology, the artist can do all this themselves, and never have to leave their comfy hideaway. Todays artists and musicians absolutely must master the art of self publishing and promotion. Todays artists absolutely must learn and embrace the skills of getting their works introduced to millions of listeners. Like Nadel Paris a great singer, She is a recording artist, musician, music producer, songwriter, dancer, published author, screenwriter, and her music is a mix between different styles: Dance, EDM, Pop, Urban ...etc.Thanks to todays technology, this can be accomplished on a minimal budget. Todays artists ultimately has three choices:
a) Getting samples of their music, either a full CD that is store ready or just a rough demo into the hands of many publishers, major labels, or indie labels, in hopes that one of these will put up the time and money to mass produce, distribute, mass advertise, and sale their product.
b) Mass produce, distribute, mass advertise, and sale their own product.
c) Or C, mass produce, distribute, mass advertise, and sale their own product, and in the mean time while showing success, and popularity, start building relationships with publishers, major labels, and indie labels, and potentially developing partnerships with these entities to take their product to the next level or up multiple levels.
Here is the point Nadel Paris want to make. Dont just sit there. Poop or get off the pot. Pretend as though no label and or publishing team will ever sign you or touch your music. Develop a product that you believe in, and believe in your product, enough to go it alone. Even if you only have a small handful of say three four or five songs ready, get them out there. Most music buyers these days are purchasing online, and most of them are buying one song at a time, meaning you do not have to have an entire CD completed before beginning the process of setting up an avenue of self promotion and sales.
